About

Baek Jae-kwon holds a Ph.D. in Feng Shui geography and is a specialist in physiognomy and Feng Shui, serving as an adjunct professor at Cyber Hankuk University of Foreign Studies. Known for exploring the principles of nature and the world through meditation and training since childhood, he has established the concept of "animal physiognomy," which reinterprets the abstract explanations of traditional physiognomy in a modern context by comparing human faces to various animals. Based on this, he has consistently contributed evaluations of prominent figures—including politicians, business leaders, and celebrities—to the media. He has been actively active as a physiognomy and Feng Shui expert on broadcasts such as KBS, SBS, Channel A, and MBN, as well as in print outlets like The Dong-A Ilbo and Yonhap News. In 2018, ahead of the North Korea–United States summit, he drew international media attention by conducting an interview with The Washington Post regarding Chairman Kim Jong-un's physiognomy. In 2023, amid controversy over the relocation of the presidential residence, it was revealed that he had privately visited the Army Chief of Staff's official residence, sparking significant debate. Unlike past government Feng Shui consultations, which were conducted openly for national projects such as the relocation of Sejong City, this visit was carried out in secret, leading to controversy over its purpose. Currently, he introduces physiognomy and Feng Shui to the public through his YouTube channel, "Baek Jae-kwon's Insight for Reading the World," and columns in various media outlets.
