Shuhei Shimada was born on December 5, 1977, in Nagano City, Nagano Prefecture. His blood type is O, and he is 184 cm tall. He graduated from Keio University's Faculty of Letters through a correspondence course and has been a comedy talent affiliated with Horiprocom since 2003. In 1981, he met his future partner, Noriaki Akaoka, at a Kumon classroom, and in 1996, they formed the comedy duo "Gokyu." In 1998 and 2001, they won the Horipro Comedy Live Grand Prix for comedic skill. In 2003, a fortune teller he met through work, Reiko Kanno (commonly known as "The Mother of Harajuku"), recognized his talent, saying, "You can see it," and began teaching him palmistry. In 2007, Kanno bestowed upon him the name "The Nephew of Yoyogi." Since then, as a "palmistry comedian," he has gained popularity for his easy-to-understand explanations of uniquely named palm lines (numbering around 100 types), such as the "Charisma Line," "Rich Marriage Line," "Popularity Line," and "Good Luck Line," and has appeared on numerous TV and radio programs. In 2019, he launched the YouTube channel "Shuhei Shimada's Ghost Story Tour," followed by a second channel in 2020 and a third in 2022. He continues to upload content on multiple channels, including luck-boosting information, ghost stories, and introductions to power spots.
