About

Xu Yulan was born into a family of Feng Shui practitioners. At the age of 12, she began studying under her father, stepping into the world of traditional metaphysics. However, as a young girl, she was reluctant to accept a predetermined fate—her father often attributed her academic achievements to "proper spatial Feng Shui adjustments," a claim that initially made her resist pursuing a career in divination. She applied for a scholarship to study installation art in Australia, originally planning to make a living through creation and teaching, gradually distancing herself from the path of fortune-telling. To fund her master's degree, she started taking on fortune-telling jobs in Taiwan, charging a mere one hundred dollars per session, slowly building her client base and experience. Just as the deadline for her deferred enrollment was about to expire, she realized that through her earnest practice of divination, she no longer needed to pursue art—fate and metaphysics were her true calling. Thus, she set aside her luggage for Australia and devoted herself entirely to this family tradition. Over the following two decades, she built a career spanning more than 20 years, accumulating over 25,000 real-world cases of residential and commercial spaces. Through long-term exposure to clients in the fashion and branding industries, she established a contemporary database that her father's generation lacked, enabling her to provide precise metaphysical analyses more attuned to modern life. She specializes in Ba Zi (Four Pillars of Destiny), Feng Shui (Kan Yu), Qi Men Dun Jia, Da Liu Ren, divination, and date selection. Her approach is approachable yet logically clear and straightforward, earning the trust of clients across various industries. Xu Yulan sees herself as "a tool or messenger of the heavens," advocating that "true acceptance of fate is an active acceptance," and firmly believes that the essence of Feng Shui is an "environmental science," not superstition. She currently operates offices in both Shanghai and Taipei, practicing across the strait, and has been appointed as a Feng Shui consultant by several international brands.
